Nest New York
The strongest scent throw in American luxury
The most accessible brand on this list and the one that fills a room fastest. Nest trades vessel craft for raw fragrance load, and at this price that is a trade many people should take.

The Nest New York review
Laura Slatkin founded Nest New York in 2008, having already built and sold Slatkin & Co to Bath & Body Works. That background shows: Nest understands mass-market fragrance performance and applies it at a semi-luxury price point. Grapefruit and Bamboo are among the best selling luxury home fragrances in the United States.
Scent throw is the headline. Nest uses one of the highest fragrance oil concentrations in the category, and a single 230g candle will scent an open-plan living room that a Jo Malone would leave untouched. If you have been disappointed by expensive candles that you cannot smell from across the room, this is the fix.
The compromises are real and worth stating. The wax is a paraffin-based blend, which is why the sustainability score is the lowest here. The etched glass is attractive but mass-produced rather than hand-worked, and vessels run hot during long burns. But at roughly a quarter of the price of a Trudon, the value score is the highest in this ranking.
